love me!

Would you be there?

If I were blue, would you be there for me,
And whisper in my ears that’s ok
Would you stand by me, let me hold you tight,
And say you love me one more time.

If I feel good, would you slow dance with me,
And touch my lips with tender loving care,
Would you die for me, would you run with me,
And never look back…

Would you be there to love, to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you'll always be the one,
to take my breath away?

Would you be there to love, to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you'll always be the one,
to take my breath away?

Would you be there…

If I will wait, would you still think of me,
And wish that you could hold me now
Would you die for me, would you run with me,
All the way..

Would you be there to love, to be with me?
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you'll always be the one,
to take my breath away?

Would you be there to save my soul tonight
Would you swear that your love is always true?
Would you say that you’ll always be there,
To kiss my pain away?

Would you be there... For me

F.A.I.T.H.F.U.L.L.Y

Tonight I saw a shooting star
Made me wonder where you are.
For years I have been dreaming of you,
And wonder if you're thinking of me, too

In this world of cheap romance
And love that fades after the dance,
They say that I'm a fool to wait for something more.
How can I really love someone I've never seen before?

But I have longed for true love every day that I have lived,
And I know real love is all about learning how to give.
So I prayed that God will bring you to me,
And I pray you'll find me waiting faithfully.

Faithfully, I am yours
From now until forever
Faithfully, I will write,
Write you a love story with my life
'Cause this kind of love's worth waiting for
No matter how long it takes
I am yours
Faithfully.

Tonight I saw two lovers kiss,
Reminded me of my own loneliness.
They say that I'm a fool to keep on praying for you.
How can I give up pleasure for a dream that won't come true?

But I will keep believing that God still has a plan
And though I cannot see you now, I know that He can,
And someday I will give you all of me
Until I find you, I 'll waiting faithfully.

I am addicted to this MV.

Here are the lyrics to the song:

蔡依琳陶喆-今天你要嫁给我

专辑:太美丽
春暖的花开带走冬天的感伤
微风吹来浪漫的气息
每一首情歌忽然充满意义
我就在此刻突然见到你

春暖的花香带走冬天的饥寒
微风吹来意外的爱情
鸟儿的高歌拉近我们距离
我就在此刻突然爱上你
听我说
手牵手跟我一起走
创造幸福的生活
昨天你来不及
明天就会可惜
今天嫁给我好吗

jolin in the house
dt(david tao) in the house
our love in the house
sweet sweet love

yes i do!

听我说
手牵手一路到尽头
把你一生交给我
昨天已是过去
明天更多回忆
今天你要嫁给我

This is a long overdue post. Well to cut long things short, we shall take a look at the pictures right?

Bought these three tops in July from a 30% sale! Ain't they sweet?

Bought these three pieces of clothes in late July at Harbourfront after having Dim Sum Buffet Lunch with Celine and Shannon. The purple Fila T-shirt only cost $10! Cheap deal! The pink swim top costs $25.90. It is made of lycra material so it is abit more pricely. The black skirt cost only $24.95 after 40% or 50% discount. Got another good deal, if not the original price is $50+++ loh... (not within my budget)

A lame post, till then!

Hi gals, the photos are ready. Feel free to comment and feedback on anything. JUST SHOOT HOR! Lousy coordination, lousy food, lousy service at restaurant, lousy phototaking skills, whatever la! *LOL*

I hereby, on behalf on the organising committee want to thank everyone (Shumin, Huisi, Lydia and Celine) for taking time off their busy schedule for this gathering. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves even though it was a short stay. Hope there are more to come in the future! Meanwhile, all the best in your future undertakings.

Cheers,
Angeline

Angeline, you're single because you don't want to slow down
Whether you're working all hours, busy with school, or planning a cross-country move, it sounds like you just don't have time for anyone else in your life...right now, that is. Your timing may be off in other aspects, too. Chances are, you've met that perfect person who just so happens to be married or planning their own cross-country move. So take a step back for a moment. Is there something underlying this? Could it be you're afraid to get involved for some reason or another, and are therefore attracted to people who are simply unavailable?

Angeline, you're fit to commit because you know what you want
You don't need us to tell you that you're on the right track. A cool and confident person, you know what you want; now it's just a matter of finding it. Even more important, you know that love is about much more than what kind of clothes they wear or car they drive. And you're ready to make it work.

You Are Practically Plastic

You're so beautiful that it's almost unreal
Unfortunately, you're attitude's a little unreal too
Everyone knows you're super hot - no need to remind them
You've got it going on, so stop obsessing!

Are You Obsessed With Your Looks?

Dear Beloved Mighty One,

Below is a song that somehow describes my feelings.

When all mankind failed on me, You told me to seek You.
You told me that no matter what happens, You will be there by my side.
But in my most despaired times, You were nowhere to be found.
I thought You have a good sense of humour then.
Then, You told me a story about Moses communicating with God.

Moses conversed with God
Moses: “Lord, where should I seek you?”
God: “among the brokenhearted.”
Moses: “But Lord, no heart is more despairing than mine.”
God: “then I am where you are.”

*TEARS*

That was when You told me You love me and You would never leave me.
During my times of trials and suffering, You were carrying me so that I would be safe and secured in Your hands.
You told me You’ll never let me go.
I couldn’t tell that all along, You were just beside me.

I just wanna tell You. I love You too. I want to embrace You.

=HUGS=

Your tiny one.

The game of boy-girl relationships

Get real about the opposite sex, says relationship guru Allan Pease

SINGAPORE men are running and hiding from women.

That is the view of relationship guru and author Allan Pease.

'Singapore is a rather feminist society, much like America and Australia. The women are more assertive to the point where some can be rather militant in their relationships,' he says in a phone interview from his office in Royal Leamington Spa in Britain.

The 55-year-old Australian will be speaking at a seminar this Saturday at the first-ever singles fair here called It's A Date. The event is part of Romancing Singapore 2006.

He and his wife Barbra, 44, are the co-authors of the books Why Men Lie And Women Cry and Why Men Don't Listen And Women Can't Read Maps.

Married for 16 years, they also anchor a fortnightly column in LifeStyle, called Relationships Matter, where they dispense advice on relationship problems.

To the high-powered capable career women of today, he says: 'You've to back off and let men be men.'

He pooh-poohs the idea of women finding the 'perfect' guy.

'This guy's got to think like a woman, understand women, be sensitive to her needs, he's got to do the things she likes to do. In short, this man doesn't exist.'

In the last 15 years, he says it has become very fashionable to pretend that men and women are the same.

'But that's how we ended up with a 50 per cent divorce rate in the UK. The fact remains that a gay guy can be a woman's best friend but her partner can never read her mind.'

Singaporean men, he says, must 'learn to listen to what their partner is saying. In Chinese culture, men tend not to be interested in how women think. But if you take this approach, you'd be very lonely'.

At the end of the day, he notes that both genders have to be more accepting of the differences between them.

And there's no need for men to run away from women.

After all, Pease, who has been visiting Singapore regularly for years, feels that the women here are the 'most beautiful, sophisticated and educated in the whole of Asia, and maybe even the world'.

Allan Pease will be speaking at a seminar titled Why Men Don't Listen And Women Can't Read Maps at Legends Ballroom, The Legends, Fort Canning Park on Saturday. Tickets cost $30. Log on to www.romancingsingapore.com/ItsADate/ seminar.htm for registration details.

You should hear us laugh

I AGREE that a partner who can make you laugh is key to building a
successful relationship.

To me, common values and consideration for others are important
but so too is someone who can make me laugh.

But I disagree with Teo Cheng Wee on one point.

I don't think it's men who are in charge of making women laugh.
In my circle of friends, a lot of the time it's my girlfriends who
entertain with hilarious stories.

To me, making jokes is not a duty of the man; it's gender
independent.

Plus, the women I know do not sit there and giggle with their
hands over their mouths.

Actually, they guffaw pretty loudly and cause quite a ruckus in
public.

When size does not matter

I REFER to a letter (A Load Off The Chest, Urban, April 27) from
reader K.H. Wong.

The writer mentioned that some of her female friends envied her
breasts.

Indeed, judging from how lucrative a business the cosmetics
industry is enjoying, it does seem that many women are trading
their flat chests and butts for fuller ones.
But women should ask what they intend to do with those enhanced
assets. Does it make them happy when men stare at their breasts?
Do shapely assets keep their men from straying?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then I would recommend
that they get a breast and/or butt job.

But if they hope to find a partner by using their assets as bait,
there is something I would like to share.

Many of my married male friends say the size of their wives'
breasts or butts is not what keeps a relationship going.
Men tend to tire easily of their partners' physical appearance.
During courtship and after marriage, they hardly even bother to
pay attention to their partners' assets unless they go horribly
out of shape.

At the end of the day, the sustainability of a relationship is
determined by such things as compatibility, tolerance and
commitment.

I think it is about time women ask whether it is worth risking
their health and spending money to develop their physical assets.
If satisfaction is what women want, then there are many other
things that they can look forward to, such as a rewarding career,
meaningful relationships with friends and spouses, and indulging
in activities such as sports and charitable work.

Violating the Code

Churches here are objecting to the release of The Da Vinci Codemovie
THE National Council of Churches of Singapore (NCCS) is objecting
to the release here of the movie, The Da Vinci Code. The film,
based on the book of the same name by American author Dan Brown,
is scheduled for a May 18 opening in Singapore.

Speaking to Life! yesterday, Mr Lim K Tham, general secretary of
the NCCS, said The Da Vinci Code denigrates the Christian faith
and questions the divinity of its founder, Jesus Christ.
'The movie also passes many other speculations as facts. If shown,
it would contribute to misunderstanding by people of other
religions about the Christian faith, and can potentially fuel
negative sentiments on the part of other sectors of the
population,' he added.

Mr Lim, who has been with the NCCS for 10 years, said this is the
first time that the council is calling for a ban on a movie. The
council represents the mainline Christian denominations here,
including Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Anglican and the
Marthoma Syrian churches, as well as the Salvation Army.
The film, directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks, is based
on Brown's 2003 thriller, which has sold over 40 million copies
worldwide.

It starts with a murder in the Louvre, weaves in clues in Leonardo
Da Vinci's paintings, and leads to the discovery of a
2,000-year-old conspiracy by the Church.
The book sparked a furore among academic scholars and churches,
but also generated popular interest in the history of
Christianity, the role of Mary Magdalene, and the legend of the
Holy Grail.

Brown's opening claim that 'all descriptions of artwork,
architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are
accurate' further fuelled the fires of controversy. Scholars
disputed it, resulting in no small amount of confusion among
readers.

Told about the council's action, film distributor Columbia Tristar
chose not to comment, telling Life! instead that it is still
awaiting word from the Board of Film Censors for a movie rating.
'We can't say if it will affect the release of the movie here, as
we have yet to receive censorship details from the board,' said
general manager Brett Hogg.

Ms Chetra S, deputy director (film standards, English) of media
content at the Media Development Authority, told Life!: 'In
assessing a film, the Board of Film Censors takes note of all
feedback received. The Da Vinci Code has been submitted for
classification and is currently under consideration. A rating will
be released in due course.'
